I have a black/tan merle male but the Mom is black and tan. The Dad is Blue/Tan Merle. If I get a fawn and tan girl to go with him will I be able to get Fawn Merle puppies?

If you have a black/tan merle who has a blue dad and breed him to a fawn/tan girl you may or may not get fawn pups. To get a fawn both Parents MUST carry DILUTE and CHOCOLATE. Fawn is the dilute of chocolate. Your boy by having the blue dad has the dilute gene but with the info you provided does not tell us if he carries chocolate or not. Heres is a link from our website about color genetics check it out it may help you understand more www.amyslittleminpins.com/AllAboutColor.html#anchor_166
